Contradicting a man of such a high intellect like Harsha Bhogle, - TopicsExpress

Contradicting a man of such a high intellect like Harsha Bhogle, who speaks on the topic- why attitude is more important than talent, is quite a talent in itself. After reading these comments from Manit students who countered his opinion, and gave a strong competition to him, You will for sure fall into dilemma about who is right! Some top comments which countered this opinion of Harsha Bhogle are:- Karan Kumar- When one suffers a road block one needs talent with attitude to solve it. Just having the right attitude would not solve the problem without knowing what to do. In the movie Interstellar when Cooper sends information about the black hole through bits to his daughter Murph. If Murph did not know what to do with them or did not have the requisite talent to deal with it then it would have been have a complete waste. Sandeep Singh - As my passion is dancing I would like to explain my point in its terms. All Dancers have a good sense of beats and rhythm..they can very well move their body to the beat...... bt no dancer can can train himself or herself to interpret the beats in a way the other dancer does.....u cannot copy another dancers clarity and finishing.......Everyone in this world has a USB...exploring Your TALENT and finding out that USB is a Talent itself. In the golden words of Susanna Kaysen (American Author), I quote “I told her once I wasn’t good at anything. She told me survival is a TALENT.” Shlok Waiker :- I believe that talent is more important to consider--unless youre hiring for a job that requires the specific attitude as persistence. Talent provides the fuel, the energy to do things consistently. Talking about cricket, if India is chasing a massive total and Virat Kohli and say Ravindra Jadeja are batting, you may expect the same aggressive attitude from both the batsmen, but Id always back Virat more than Jadeja to chase down the total. The sole reason being, TALENT, which Kohli possesses, but Jadeja doesnt! The great mathematician Shakuntala Devi could calculate faster than a supercomputer because she had that ability by birth and the fire in her compelled her to excel at it! Sushmita Haldar :- i can call myself a singer after taking a number of courses, practising incessantly however i am not the only one in this race, am I ? It wont be the handwork we put in or our attitude that will be judged in an instant in front of the world but that SPARK of TALENT that will decide the front runner. Mansi Jain- Mr. Bhogle talks of Mr. Tendulkars incessant practice sessions. He says, it is not the talent but the gruelling effort put in by the legendary batsman which brought him success. But, it was his special liking for cricket which drove him to work this hard. It was this liking which made him work, and in the long run, talented.
