Contributing to knowledge-building by participating in counseling psychology dissertation research is good karma... Dear Potential Participant: I know that your time is extremely valuable and I appreciate your consideration. I am currently conducting a research study that examines the way bereaved individuals experience grief, as well as personal and cultural factors that may influence this process. All individuals that are at least 18 years of age or older, speak English as their first language, and have experienced the death of a human loved one are eligible to participate in this study. This study has been approved by the institutional review board of the University of Missouri – Kansas City (approval #SS12-73). Participation involves completion of an online survey that should take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. Study participation is entirely voluntary and confidential. Participants have the right to withdraw their participation at any time. Each participant will have the opportunity to enter a drawing. Three winners from the drawing will each have $100.00 dollars donated to the charity of their choice.
