Cook with and use the right salt. All salt is not created equal! Replace iodized table salt with sea salt. Table salt is highly processed with metals like aluminum to make it pour nicely instead of clumping. Because its altered from its natural form with iodine added after the fact, our bodies do not recognize it as food. As such, it wreaks havoc on our bodies, particularly blood pressure and the heart. Sea salt is harvested in two ways: either from ancient sea beds within the earth that have long been since dried and left their salt behind, or from the current oceans. Because this salt is not processed or combine with additives, our bodies recognize it as food and not an invader. Some great brands include Himalayan, Celtic Sea Salt, and Real Salt.
