Cool side-effect of recovery, for a guy like me: I can watch movies Ive watched before and its like seeing them for the first time. After seeing the recent Wolverine movie in theaters, I knew Id watched the first one. Actually, Im certain I watched it twice. On DVD. At my old house. And Im pretty sure I said I liked it, or maybe I said it was just okay. As an X-Men fan this is important stuff. But after renting it on a whim today and putting it on, none of it was familiar; it was all new. But all of it was awesomely cheesy and groovy in its new first viewing. Im now thinking of all the (hopefully) great films Ive watched before that I need to see for the first time.
