Im going to shamelessly attempt to pull on everyones heart strings here: Theres a woman in my office who had breast cancer. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and is currently undergoing radiation which is set to end in two weeks. She has been the most optimistic person about the whole situation. A day of work might be missed here and there, especially after one of her treatments, but she has been at work EVERY week through all of this. Not only has she been at work, shes been here with a smile on her face and always a pleasant attitude. And if cancer isnt bad enough, shes done all of this while also simultaneously taking care of her aging, immobile mother. Shes been absolutely amazing through all of this. I know most of you probably dont know who Im talking about and/or might not care, but I want to do something nice for her. I am taking a collection at work to get her a plant and a gift card somewhere but my ultimate goal is to get her a day of pampering. She has lost her hair so getting her hair done would be out of the question. Maybe a shopping gift card, a dinner gift card, and a gift basket or something... If anyone has any ideas on what else to do or feels totally compelled to pay it forward and help give this woman a day shes definitely earned, I would love to hear from you!
