Cops: Beware of car thieves SAN Fernando police are warning members of the public to exercise vigilance when parking their vehicles at Gulf City Shopping Complex. In a release from the Southern headquarters of the San Fernando Police Station yesterday, car stealing, especially of Nissan-type vehicles, has begun to increase again. Vehicles such as Almera and B-12, 13, 14, are the popular choices for car thieves, the release stated. As the Christmas season is two months away, the police report stated, shoppers should be mindful of how they secure their vehicles. The police report also urged shoppers on High Street, San Fernando to be aware of two persons, a man and a woman, who have been robbing persons of jewelry. Particularly on Lower High Street, the report stated, where mostly elderly people frequent to attend to business at two banks, and at the Unit Trust Corporation
