Cops are pirates on land using the law of high seas to take your money!!!!! Eric Holder finally did something I agree with. He ordered an end to Civil Asset Forfiture. In legal terms it is know as a Suit in rem (which is 100% proof of admiralty maritime jurisdiction). Which means that police can pull you over, take your cash, car or any asset without there even being a crime. Then the police either keep it or use it themselves. Funny fact: the lawsuit is filed against the asset, not the person. So The State vs $10k in cash. Meaning the $10k cash is the defendant and you hire an attorney to represent the cash AND you as a 3rd party interviner to prove no crime was committed by a stack of money in order to get back the money. Not fun fact. since 2008, thousands of local and state police agencies have made more than 55,000 seizures of cash and property worth $3 billion under a civil asset forfeiture program at the Justice Department called Equitable Sharing. thefreethoughtproject/breaking-u-s-department-justice-ends-civil-forfeiture-program-state-local-police/#Z8EGdXuqDBClWLdj.99
