Cops foil robbery plot with arrest of 3 (7/15/2013) Police foiled an alleged plot to rob a Peñaranda businessman who was scheduled to deposit money in a bank in Gapan City last July 5. Three members of the robbery-hold-up group were arrested at an anti-criminality checkpoint managed by operatives of the Provincial Counter intelligence Special Operations Group, Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and the Gapan City and Peñaranda police, led respectively by Chief Inspector Julius Caezar Maducdoc, Supts. Ricardo Villanueva and Marcelo Dayag, and Chief Insp. Danilo Pajarillaga, in Poblacion Uno at around 3:00 P.M. Those arrested were identified as Honorio Valmadrid, 36, alias Jeffrey Garcia, Pogie Yumol, Henry Poge, of Barangay Bayanihan, Gapan City; Generoso De Guzman, 45, of Bgy. San Mariano, San Antonio and Roy Vasquez, 43, alias Nognog, of Barangay Pambuan, Gapan City. The suspects were on board two Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycles when stopped at the checkpoint. However, they ignored the order and sped away, prompting the police to chase them until they were cornered and arrested. The three yielded a hand grenade, a caliber .22 pistol, two caliber .38 revolvers and assorted bullets. Police said the three are members of the notorious Decabra Group involved in robbery-hold up activities in Peñaranda, Gapan City, General Tinio and adjacent areas. The suspects were detained at the PPSC headquarters in Cabanatuan City. ###
