On hottest day of the year 76 rider started the North Norfolk Wheelers 100 mile Time Trial on the sporting course near Fakenham, a 3 lap undulating circuit course. Only 56 managed to complete the race with many pulling out, suffering from the effects of the heat others with mechanical problems. Sole Representative for Cycling Club Breckland was Mark Fairhead who finished his first 100 since 2010, completed the course in 5 hours 6 minutes and 52 seconds for 35th place. The event was won by inform Mark Arnold of CC Desiragear in a superb time of 3.52.18 with Team Velovelocitys Daniel Bloy in second with a time of 3.55.30 the only riders to break the 4 hour barrier. In third place with a time of 4.03.43 was Anglia Velos Jim Burgess riding his first 100 mile Time Trial. Anglia Velo won the team event with Jims time been backed up by strong rides from Danny Watkins (4.42.48) and Huw Jones (4.47.33). There were strong rides from other locally know riders Jason Turner of Norwich ABC (4.21.45) who finished 7th overall and was 3rd Fastest Veteran on standard, Geoff Frost of Team Velovelocity (4.24.48) who rounded of the top 10. In the womens event 15 of the 17 that started finished with Helen Eborall (Born to Bike - Bridgetown Cycles) taking the win in 4.43.07, with Marina Bloom of Rugby Racing CC in 2nd place with a time of 4.50.03 and Team Milton Keynes rider Katja Rietdorf in 3rd place with 4.54.19 Stowmarket & District rider Emma Beard competing her first 100 mile TT finish 9th in a time of 5.34.53.
