I have been notified of possible sanctions imposed on me that a member to yet be identified or named because of their lack fortitude is on the County agenda. With all due respect this is a continuation of the ongoing farce the County continues to illustrate, time again. Building a reputation of ill repute. Shame. I understand the Chairman’s concerns and have realized the Chairman along with your executive committee are willing to turn a blind eye to corruption, massive government spending and nanny state policies as long as the person has an “R” behind his name. I cannot. Furthermore without an accuser I simply reject the premise. Furthermore as a loyal member I am very disappointed in several of you and you know who you are. In particular Mr. Bob Smugg, who continues to undermine and destroy the Party we all worked so hard to build; doing someone else’s bidding in this case because of his continued sour grapes. A supposed mature man who on file with the Chairman has 2 sanctions letters with 10 Party member signatures for expulsion. So, to keep with my belief in limited governance I hereby resign in accordance with Article 6, Section C&D. I wish you well in your continued pursuit of mediocrity. I never left the Republican Party of Cherokee County; it left me. For those of you who know this note is not directed at you; I wish well and in good health. Enclosed is a check so you can recruit a few new Members on free dues. Hopefully you can find a few who represent the core values of the Party that once was.
