Im no linguist... in fact Im barely fluent in my native English... and I had a very difficult time learning Tok Pisin in Papua New Guinea even though its a fairly easy language to learn. For example the word for Sister in Tok Pisin is Susa and the word for Breast is Susu.... which has made my life very complicated. I once assumed the pulpit at a Lotu in Lae and before delivering my message was going through the customary introduction and I said, Mi wanpla Mangi tasol na mi gat wanpla bikpla susu na narapla liklik susu... Of course what I meant to say that I am a only son with two sisters but what I really said was, I am the only boy and I have one big breast and another smaller breast... and then there was that time I was passionately preaching about Holiness on Wantok Radio Light heard across the nation and meant to say, My brothers and my sisters... but instead said, Olegta Brata na Susu bilong mi we must live holy! which of course translates to, All my brothers and my breasts we must live holy
