Day 2 & 3 Dubai Dubai has really actualised the concept of e government such that every major government agency from the office of the ruler to local councils all have an active online portal and has made that the first point of call. So you just dont walk into a government office for meetings vis-a-vis all the ling waits, so they are reducing the number of people driving and heading to government offices etc by operating a functional online platform for you to send emails and get responses. I have also enjoyed using their metro or train system of transportation, very efficient, cosy and air conditioned and that has many people using it and also reducing the number of cars, fuel usage and carbon emissions they have. It is also cost effective and fast means of transport. So much to observe here, I can imagine that when YALFers come in August, it would be a life transforming experience, but its really hot here oh!
