Coral Cantigass presents their holiday concert on Saturday, December 6, at 7:00pm at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 8300 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD. This concert will feature choral selections evoking the holiday season in Latin America, Spain, and the US, including: Deus in Adiutorium, a selection for double choir by Mexican Baroque composer Juan Gutierrez de Padilla Ave Maria, O Bone Jesu, and Lux Aeterna all by Argentinean composer Fernando Moruja Christ the Appletree by American composer Stanford Scriven Los reyes siguen la estrella by Spanish Renaissance composer Francisco Guerrero And our traditional holiday sing-along for the whole family! For this concert, Cantigas will collaborate with the Richard Montgomery High School Madrigals, under the direction of Ronald Frezzo. The Madrigals perform a set of choral songs, including John Rutters Shepherds Pipe Carol, Mi zeh Hidlik (Chanuka song), and Handels Let Their Celestial Concerts All Unite. More at cantigas.org
