Corona Virus (CVK) is less severe that Parvo Virus, but both - TopicsExpress

Corona Virus (CVK) is less severe that Parvo Virus, but both viruses are similar. If both virus attack the dog at the same time, which does occur, then it can be life threatening. CVK is documented worldwide and causes diarrhea (sometimes bloody), vomiting, fever, depression, dehydration, and loss of appetite. It can take 7-10 days before the dog starts to heal and may require hospitalization and IV fluids. The virus is spread through contact with feces. We require & recommend protecting your dog with vaccine. May of you young bloggers or those of you who profess to know about CVK probably have never seen an outbreak of parvo virus or a dog suffering with CVK who is passing fetid feces. I say an ounce of prevention (vaccine) is worth a pound of cure. Please go online to read from the Baker Institute, WebMD and PetMD. This hospital wants to protect the dogs we see and board.
