Correct me if Im wrong, but Im pretty sure our ancestors, who were expert astronomers, would have jumped at the opportunity to build a massive telescope here in Hawaii. I have to agree with Richard Ha on this one, it seems the current generation is trying to rewrite history and live in a past that never existed. There was never a time that Hawaiians embraced ignorance and rejected science, except maybe in the last few decades. Sacred land, give me a break.
