Corruption. This word brings to mind FIFA scandals, foreign problems, and rich gamblers. But what do we ever hear about corruption at home? We need to clean our own house before we point our fingers towards other peoples messes. Ive recently discovered that corruption is rife within our system, and it seems thats what its built upon. Apparently, several of the owners or ownership groups sit on the board of directors at USSOCCER! In some nations, this is a jailable offense, here, it is the norm to have a monopoly on an entire system. How does Ussoccer gain control if its leadership are the businessmen responsible for it being held back? How can the interest of sport and Ussoccer take precedence if money is the main focus? It cannot, as long as Ussoccer remains corrupted. This great sport of our is founded upon honor and integrity, yet underhanded dealings within our borders ensures righteousness ceases to exist. How is it conceiveable that the very organization responsible for maintaining and regulating soccer in America is ran by people who only care about bleeding u dry? Thats not honorable, nor is it ethical. Its akin to our government being ran by defense and oil companies...hmmmm, sound familiar? An organization ran by external entities will only be focused on said entities, not what the organization was intended for.....its called corruption, and USSOCCER is needs to be cleaned from the inside out and restructured. Ussoccers main priorities should be the growth and development of the soccer, its players and its teams. The only way to do this is to....COMBINE THE LEAGUES!!!
