Coterie around CBN, party leaders unhappy?! -----------------Hyderabad: When TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu was in power until 2004, he was believed to have a coterie of senior IAS officers and some experts. When Naidu lost the 2004 election to Congress, political analysts blamed the “advisors” of Naidu for his misplaced priorities. And exactly ten years later and after ten years in Opposition, Naidu is facing the same allegation. According to observers, Naidu is now surrounded by a three-men coterie- Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh and Narayana, of EAMCET coaching fame. These three came into focus during the current trend of other party leaders joining TDP. It were these three, who more or less, talked to the defecting leaders and set the terms for joining the party. Even some party insiders are quite unhappy that these three people, who have no history of political activity behind them, are calling the shots on behalf of Naidu. Party insiders are particularly concerned that even Naidu is helpless with regard to crucial aspects like MP and Assembly tickets. It is being said that Chandrababu has given unofficial in-charge power to Sujana Chowdary for coastal districts. They say that CM Ramesh is the unofficial in-charge of Rayala Seema region and party affairs of Uttarandhra districts are being overseen by Narayana. But their supervision has crossed permissible limits and party insiders are getting uneasy at their sweep of power, as if it is they and not Chandrababu Naidu, who calls the shots. Notably, all these three are not politicians by profession but are more or less, belong to the corporate world. Sujana Chowdary is an industrialist, Ramesh own Ritwik Constructions and Narayana is well-known as owner of Narayana Group of Educational institutions.
