After Miguel Cotto lost both of his fights last year, the three-division champion took several months off to choose between reinvention and retirement. Cotto eventually chose to keep fighting. He returned from his rented house every afternoon for two hours of training with Freddie Roach, rebuilding his game and rekindling his fire & by fck did it work tonight in destroying an over-matched Delvin Rodriguez (28-7-3, 16 KO’s) in a 3rd round K.O. in Orlando, Florida, USA. Cotto dropped Rodriguez with two big left hooks to the head in the 3rd round the Referee didn’t give Rodriguez a chance to continue and immediately stopped the fight after 18 secs of the round. Cotto used his left hook more to the body in this fight than he had in his previous fights dating back to earlier in his career when that was his main weapon.
