Could I ask that people please think good thoughts for my beloved Mischa? He will be having surgery this afternoon to remove an infected growth on one of his toes. Cliff took him in this morning to have it checked out and the vet said it needed to be dealt with ASAP. Luckily, Wednesday is surgery day, and despite a very full hospital (all crates/kennels for dogs of his size are full, so he has a pile of blankets back behind the reception counter with the staff), Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell, our wonderful and trusted vet of 25 years, is going to fit him in. He will also do an aspiration to check for malignancies. Our cherished boy will be 13 in September, and we love him dearly. Thanks so much, everyone.
