Could be opening a can of worms with my rant but what are peoples opinion? .... i bought a handbag from a shop in puke. it was $100 because it was a billabong one. got it on the 16th of feb. have hardly used it, mainly just on the weekends. but then this week the badge thing on the front came undone. every time i try to poke it back in it just comes undone again. i took it back today (with the original receipt) and the lady asked me if it had the tags on and if i had used it. i explained that of course i dont have the tags and have used it because thats what you do if you buy a new handbag. i told her that i wouldnt expect a $100 bag to break within three weeks of minimal use, it looks like brand new still. she looked at me like im crazy and kept muttering that she didnt know what she could do. i asked if i could get my money back or at least get a credit note. any other time i have taken back something defective i have had no problem with getting money back or a credit note. she said no and rang the head office. that person advised her that they have to send the bag away to the billabong shop and they will probably fix it and then send it back. she couldnt tell me the time frame it would take. in the mean time im stuck with no handbag. and she wasnt even apologetic etc her attitude was more like i was inconveniencing her and she was quite rude! she then also kept the receipt from the bag which had other purchases on it so too bad if something goes wrong with them... should i just leave it at that and hope it doesnt take too long for the bag to come back?? :-/
