Could not let this day pass without telling about a sweet blessing - TopicsExpress

Could not let this day pass without telling about a sweet blessing that I received from a thoughtful and precious colleague/friend this morning. On my way to work this morning, I called Subway and ordered my lunch as I was pressed for time and had another errand to run as well. As I walked in, there stood Mary Vincent Wright, getting her lunch for today, too. She greeted me with her warm friendly smile and I responded in a joking manner(as many of us have before), If I had known you were gonna be here, you could have picked up mine too! Well, need I say more! She insisted on picking up the tab for my lunch. Trust me folks, insistent is putting it mildly. I tried to explain to no avail that I was certainly not serious but Mary was. In her sweet voice, she stated that doing something like this would give her good feeling. We gave each other a hug and I thanked her. But she had it wrong the good feeling swelled up in my heart and throat and I could have cried tears of joy. Not just because she had bought my lunch and saved me time to run my next errand. As I drove on to school, I thought about the worry and anxiety we all have been living with daily since the financial worries of our current situation have evolved over the past few months. And then I thought, we may be facing pay cuts and even loss of jobs, but one thing no one can take are the hearts of these wonderful selfless souls like Mary and countless others at all the schools who love their students and work hard every day to provide a quality education to them. There is a family feeling in our schools that along with Gods strength will sustain us in the days, weeks , and months ahead. Thankful for all the precious people that still make our schools work like a family. Love ya MNMS AND MY OLD BES FAMILY.
