Could someone please tell me how going to a bar and supporting the people that I know and care about because their band is coming to play makes me a woman that is deemed unworthy to be in a relationship with? I couldnt believe it when it was said to me. Just because I choose to support my friends and local businesses with all of the events that they bring to the Rockford area doesnt mean that it is my only outlet for social gatherings. I support the events that are worthy of people going to and experiencing for themselves. I will always share those events and try to make it to them if it is possible for me with my schedule. If I could make it to all of my friends classes that are instructors to support them , I would do that too!! All of the art events, the bands that come through, the local record store events that are put on, and anything else that I have gone to in the past year are all amazing things that I am glad that I have been a part of--each and everyone of them. If that makes me someone that is viewed as not a potential mate just because of that then you are not someone that I need to be spending my time with or my energy on. Just because these events happen to take place in a bar means nothing. It just means that these local businesses are doing what it takes to keep their customers staying in the Rockford area and bringing items in that can be supported when its the local artists and performers that need our support to keep them doing what they do best.
