Could the proposed transfer of Andre Schurrle, from Bayer - TopicsExpress

Could the proposed transfer of Andre Schurrle, from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea, finally go through shortly? Well it appears that moves are afoot to wrap a deal up. Last night, over in Germany, Jose Mourinho was in charge of a World XI that took on a Michael Ballack XI in a testimonial for the former Chelsea player. Several ex-Chelsea players participated, most notably, Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien, Florent Malouda and Andriy Shevchenko. Also appearing was Andre Schurrle who as well as getting on the score-sheet, we are told was also in deep conversation with Jose. Prompting Jose to remark about a possible conclusion to a deal to bring him to SW6, "We will see." Whilst the Bayer Leverkusen sporting director, Rudi Voller, who was in charge of the other eleven last night gave the following hint that a deal may very well be concluded shortly, "We are working on a solution for Andre and it is inevitable I will speak to Mourinho." Will Schurrle become the first player to be recruited in the second reign of Jose Mourinho, or will the delay see somebody else pip him to that honour?
