Could you help us get this little fellow fixed. This is Wishbone. While on the way to a friends we stopped in a remote area and this little guy came trotting out of the woods on three useable legs. We pulled off the road for a moment to look at the map and there he was. His condition was deplorable. Walking on three legs, ribs showing, tail bleeding and missing hair all over his body and still wagging his tail and trying to lick us. We had to bring him home. We took him to the vet on Monday and the x-ray showed that he has a very bad break in his leg just below the hip that has been there for 4-5 weeks according to the vet. All the places that we thought might have been mange turned out to be hair loss from malnutrition. We got him wormed and his puppy shots (he is four months old) and started on heartworm and flea prevention. The cost of his surgery to get that leg pinned back together is going to be in the range of $800-$900.
