The governor upon assumption of office in November 27th, 2010 left no one in doubt that he is set to transform the state economically and developmentally. His first line of action was fulfilling the 20,000 jobs within 100 days which he promised the people of the state of Osun while campaigning for the election. Despite the harsh, moribund and epileptic economic condition he met on ground, the governor summoned courage and use his rare administrative acumen to design and implement a youth empowerment scheme with corresponding logistics, manpower and finance for 20,000 youths all within 100 days in office. The uniqueness of this programme is that the recruitment of volunteers cut across every nooks and crannies of the state without religion, political or ethnic considerations. This singular uncommon feat in employment generation has become household name now throughout the world. World Bank and Federal Government openly and formally came to Osun to learnt the workings and operations of this scheme for replication in their respective institutions. The outcome of their training in Osun has metamorphozed to Federal Government SURE P Programme and World Bank YES Programme in Africa.
