Thus far, nearly 4600 screenplays have been submitted and, as of yesterday, 4566 entries had been Confirmed. When Confirmed, you can see your scripts entry number on the Copy for your Records page in your Nicholl account. If youre planning to enter over the next week, before logging in to your Academy Nicholl account to complete the application process, be sure to: - Read the Rules. - Know the genre(s) of your script. - Write a log line for your script (no longer than 300 characters, including spaces). - Check your PDF to make sure it doesnt include your name or any other identifying information. - Check your PDF to make sure that it is the correct draft. - Save your PDF in a convenient place on your computer so that you can upload it easily. - Have a credit card in hand. Quick advice if the Application gives you problems on any page: switch to a different browser and/or clear your cache of temporary internet files. Dont enter today if you plan to rewrite or polish your screenplay over the next few days. Wait to enter until youre convinced that your script is as good as it can be. Dont enter if you think the competition is a lottery and that any script, whatever its quality, has a chance to win. Poor and mediocre scripts will not do well in the competition. Dont enter if you expect the Academy Nicholl Fellowships to provide notes that will help you improve your script. We are not a notes services and do not provide notes to every entrant.
