Country superstar Glen Campbell kept performing and recording even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. But it looks as if the music has ended for good. His family announced that the disease has progressed to the point that Glen had to be moved to a 24-hour care unit. But he did leave behind one last gift for fans: a moving video of the final song he’ll ever record. It’s called “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.” You must see it. On a more positive note, researchers in Boston say that for the first time ever, they’ve been able to replicate human brain cells that develop the structures of Alzheimer’s. Until now, they could only study it in lab mice. It’s being hailed as a major breakthrough in research for treatment and prevention. On behalf of everyone over 50: please hurry.
