County Commission revamps committee structure By David Fisher david@dresdenenterprise During a reconvened meeting of the Weakley County Commission Wednesday, September 17, members totally reorganized the Commission’s committee structure and approved which members would sit on each of these committees. After a somewhat tense first meeting of the newly elected governing body last Monday night, which resulted in a recessed meeting to allow the Rules Committee to consider recommended changes to the committee structure and which members would be on these committees, the mood was much more conciliatory when they met Wednesday afternoon. Commissioners vowed to set aside their personal and party differences and work for the good of the County.
