Countywide State of Emergency Lifted Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro, in coordination with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Office and the New York State Office of Emergency Management, as well as the Dutchess County Departments of Emergency Response and Public Works, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, has lifted the countywide State of Emergency, including the restrictions on travel, effective 7am today (Tuesday, January 27th). The Governor’s State of Emergency has also been rescinded effective 7am. County Executive Molinaro said, “We were fortunate the storm did not reach its maximum impact here in Dutchess County, which allows us to rescind the State of Emergency effective 7am. However, snow is forecasted to continue throughout the day. With schools and many businesses closed today, residents are urged to stay safe and remain at home and off the roads if possible.” Dutchess County Government offices will open at 10am today. However, people should call individual offices for more information before traveling. The inclement weather policy will be in effect for Dutchess County Government employees throughout the day. Dutchess County Office for the Aging’s Senior Friendship Centers are closed today and there will be no home delivered meals.
