Couples Counseling With Derek Hart - No Charge To The Couple - Its Time To Give your relationships a full recharge. I am currently offering an incredible opportunity for couples that would like to do couples counseling, doing some individual counseling with each person and then counseling with them together. My focus will be based on reattaching the couple emotionally at a core level, bringing them to deep understanding of each other. Ive done 18,000 hours of counseling since 1990, so my experience is vast. Often a couple has all the right intentions, but does not have the understanding, support and toolset to bring their hearts back together. Is it okay for you both to have needs, and can you express them to each other? A couple will often find themselves filled with miscommunications and hurts, and will not understand the path to healing this. But time does not heal all wounds. A slowed-down, hearing of each other, hearing what hurt, hearing what the other is experiencing, is the first step in regaining trust. When this has become a multi-layered difficulty, it is often impossible to break it into small, gentle parts without an experienced 3rd person. How can I listen to your needs and desires when I am flooded with my own hurts? And how can you do that for me? Sometimes one person in the relationship tries to teach the other person what is happening. But trying to do that yourself is unfair to you and your partner, and often does not work. What I will help you do is break apart the cycle of how this happens over and over. I will not simply be teaching communication skills and behavioral changes. I will be creating a safe container for you both to name what is really happening. If your core emotions for each other are not positive, you cannot solve problems as a couple. If your core emotions for each other are filled with safety and love, then all problems can be solved. Your couplehood is the client, and we will nurture it together so it can come alive. Here are a few ideas about the approaches I use, and these ideas have been highly successful in helping couples regain trust and safety. A) When my partner feels like he/she is heard and that it doesnt have to make sense, then the soul will calm. B) When my partner feels like he/she is heard and that it doesnt have to be rational, then the soul will calm. C) When my partner feels like he/she is heard and that it doesnt have to be fair, then the soul will calm. D) When my partner feels like he/she is heard, then the soul will calm, AND ONE PERSON HAS BECOME SAFE FOR THE OTHER, THEN THE RE-OCCURING ISSUE CAN HAPPEN LESS AND LESS. The counseling, which will often be 20 to 30 sessions, will be no charge. Yes, it will be free. However, it will be recorded on video, and used for training and education on couples work. If I charged for this, 30 sessions would be approximately $6000. If you are currently part of a couple, and do not have the love and safety that you both once had, please contact me. Im in Marin County, San Anselmo, specifically, which is near San Rafael. If people wanted to travel to do some intensive work for 2-3 days, that is also an option and I can accommodate.
