Court adjourns EFCC N11.5bn case against Alao- Akala ( NA WAO O O ,SOME SABI STEAL MONEY O O O) I Ibadan – An Oyo State High Court on Wednesday adjourned indefinitely the N11.5 billion contract award case against a former governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala, pending hearing of an appeal. Justice Bayo Taiwo adjourned the case after Mr Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Counsel to Alao-Akala and Babalola told the court that his clients appeal was still pending before the Court of Appeal. Taiwo said that hearing notices would be issued informing all parties and their counsel on the date for continuation of hearing. Fagbemi told the court that the appellate court had fixed Nov, 26, for the hearing of the appeal. Alao-Akala and the two others were challenging the Dec. 12, 2012 ruling of Justice Akintunde Boade, the former judge handling the matter. Boade ruled that Alao-Akala, Agboola and Babalola, had case to answer in the suit instituted by the EFCC. The accused persons had pleaded not guilty to the charges. The EFCC filed an 11 count-charge against Alao-Akala, Hosea Agboola, a former commissioner and Olufemi Babalola, a businessman.
