Court rejects Masrat Alam’s bail plea today. A court in central Kashmir’s Badgam district today sent Muslim League chief Masrat Alam Bhat to jail for another ten days on judicial remand. He was shifted to Srinagar’s Central jail by the police later. Bhat was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in connection with the First Information Report registered against him under section 153,120 of Ranbir Penal Code and 13 ULA. Muslim League general secretary Abdul Ahad Parra said that Baht is suffering from ‘acute knee pain’ and that the party had applied for his bail but was rejected by the court. “Bhat has been detained on false charges but these tactics would not undermine our firm belief and we will continue to strive for the just cause,” he said. Parra said that the international organizations for human rights must come forward and take measures so that justice could be delivered to Muslim League chief.
