Courtney Anderson at Grelle Lane command post for Onion Creek Horse Rescue has confirmed with Travis County: FREE HOUSING FOR LIVESTOCK AT TRAVIS COUNTY EXPO CENTER IS STILL AVAILABLE! Any livestock animal, including horses, affected by the onion creek floods are still welcome to stay at the Travis County Expo center - FREE of Charge. If you cannot transport your horse, the County will make arrangements to transport your horse or livestock for you at NO CHARGE - FREE. To get free horse stabling at the Expo Center, dial 311 and tell them you were displaced by the Onion Creek flood. You will need to provide your own horse feed/hay, but they have shavings and water and stalls ready to go. Again, you MUST call 311 and tell them you need stabling at Expo Center, DO NOT just show up out there! Spread the word to anyone with any livestock - horses, cattle, sheep, goats - who needs free emergency housing for their livestock in Travis County.
