Coventry band The Ellipsis used a closure-threatened swimming pool in Birmingham to record a video for their new single - with the shoot directed by an award-winning Nuneaton college student. Moseley Road Baths opened in Balsall Heath in 1907 and is the oldest of three Grade II* listed swimming baths operating in Britain. But it is scheduled to close as part of city council cuts. Director Jerin Micheal, the NME’s Young Photographer of the Year, said: “I took some photographs and told the band about it. As soon as they saw it they fell in love with it and we decided that it would be perfect place to shoot for the video for Wasted Potential Me. It is an amazing building and an absolute tragedy that it may be closed forever and even knocked down.
