Cpiml K N Ramachandran Front for Nationalization of K G Basin: 7th November Kakinada Rally. The meeting of the core committee of the Front for Nationalization of K G Basin held at Hyderabad on 2nd September, presided by Prof. K.R Chowdhry, chairman of the Front and attended by vice chairman, com. C. Bhaskar Rao, convener com. Chinababu, co-convener com Rajendra and other committee members evaluated the campaign program so far and decided to organize the rally and public meeting on 7th November at Kakkinada, instead of Hyderabad as announced earlier, considering the importance of the coastal region in organizing the campaign. The campaign at AP level, mainly in the coastal districts of West and East Godavari and Visakh districts will be launched soon with a handbill and booklet explaining the importance of the slogans: Throw out Reliance from K G Basin, Repeal New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP), and Nationalize K G Basin. Wall writing, postering, street corner meetings also will be organized. The work for mobilization of the masses from nearby areas for the rally also will be started soon. The committee has appealed to all political groups, organizations and individuals to join the campaign and rally, and to contribute for the campaign. Leading intellectuals, scientists, environmentalists and writers who agree with the slogans shall be invited for the rally and the public meeting.
