Craig appears to have an over exaggerated fear of kinder and schools. We have decided to visit the local Steiner school this weekend on their open day just so he can have a look. I think Kinder would be good for him as opportunities for play with other children need to be as often as possible for him to learn shared play (lacking the skill due to his Aspergers). I am not planning on making him go though, we homeschool so if thats what he wants he can do homeschool but I would like to just show him that there are other options and they dont have to be scary. Well, since saying we are going to the open day (to play and will stay with him) he has had 3 days of meltdowns. This Autism Spectrum stuff is totally exhausting (for him and us) some days. He is such an anxious little boy and it saddens my heart to watch it. But we are still going!!!
