Crazy! Ive been teaching 16 years in the same district, and to this day I can say I love my students and want to try my best for them! This love keeps me going! It gets harder and harder to read all the things posted about the struggles we face on a daily basis, but the most challenging is the people at the top who have NOT spent time in todays classrooms who tell us what we should be doing! However, these same people want to run our educational policies?!?! I think if you are going to have a say in our childrens lives and education, then you NEED to be INSIDE our world PHYSICALLY! Do not say I was once there or I can understand because..., be able to say ...because I am there in the trenches everyday and I can see whats happening. There is nothing more annoying then to hear someone tell me how to do my job or how I should understand, when that person or persons have NO IDEA what I do everyday! I love my job and I love my kids, if I didnt then I wouldnt devote my time, and even my life, to supporting and LOVING my students!!!!! Get over telling us what we should do and HELP US DO IT!!!! What was the saying, It takes a village, well where is that village? Im tired of hearing what we do thats wrong...where are the posts about what we do that is right?!?! #weloveourstudents
