-- Loom News -- Mandy has been very busy making commissions, personal projects & selling shawls at Haruka boutique in Glastonbury, Somerset. Ella gave birth to her baby in July and there has been lots of amazingly soft and tiny alpaca Loom knitwear made for baby Elvie Wren. She has been snuggled up in our baby blanket and also has had a new style textured, colourful travel blanket made for her (pics to follow). We are currently working on a way to make our products more accessible - we previously only offered & undertook bespoke commissions of hand-woven blankets using hand-spun fibre (which is very labour intensive and takes months to make 1 blanket) hence we had to price these one-off items quite highly to take into account the time (and woman-power!) it took to make each piece. Wed love to start producing hand-made items from machine spun yarn so that we can make more stock and sell items at a less premium price point. Watch this space !! E & M (and little E)
