Crazy Quilting, Pickin up the Pieces & Creating a New Masterpiece from...Scraps. October Session ~ Wednesdays 10am to 2pm October 1st: Introduction to Crazy Quilting October 15th: Embellishments II October 29: Embellishments IV During this 3 Session Course, we will use the centuries-old art form of Crazy Quilting to help make a connection with our crazy outer lives and the beautiful inner life we would like to create! We will learn various stitches that will not only embellish the quilt, but function as a way to hold the pieces together. As we stitch, we will consider what “holds the pieces of our life together” and, what “threads” and “embellishments” we might be using in our daily life with God. Nickie Lynn. Working with needle, fiber and fabric since childhood, Crazy Quilting became a natural destination for her creative talents. She sees it as a metaphor for her life and has shared the history of the art form, her process, theory and techniques, with kindred spirits around the world. When her life became a bit too crazy, she then followed a path which led to her becoming a Spiritual Director and then on to finishing her Master in Pastoral Studies, with a focus on Spiritual Direction and Comparative Religions. She is certified as a Lay Minister, Spiritual Director (including the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius), and Labyrinth Designer and Facilitator. Facilitator: Nicki Lynn
