Crevolution (Inspired by chapters 1, 8, 9 & 10 in Genesis & chapter 11 in Leviticus) All of YAH’s creation reflects an artist’s touch Speaking volumes of a mind filled with truth Every winged creature, crawling insect, and fish Was crafted for a purpose, a certain use Even the beasts of the earth who no longer roam They too once walked apart, unique, distinct Though by now they have departed, there’s no room for doubt These majestic moving mountains now extinct They were here walking next to man in his dominion No fear of death ever trampled his mind It was a natural habitation and peaceful Until the flood came and washed away its kind Still there were others who survived the downpours These were told to multiply their seed Eventually they scattered while bearing new fruit And eventually they engendered different breeds While not of YAH’s creation, they still reflect truth It’s a thought we need to ponder for gain The earth was created for continued expansion After it was healed when it dried from the rain And too man has altered his appearance, not once But several times since Eden, this is true He now exists with different colors and different heights She has different color eyes and hair lengths too Life does evolve while revolving around the Son The truth need not stand opposite our faith There’s room for science exploration in our daily walk We can grow in truth while we work and wait Say the word evolution among most Christian circles and watch and listen to disgruntled behavior and responses. Many Christians today have come to believe that the concept of evolution is in of itself evil and thus all of its tenets should be rejected. How unwise to follow in step with this line of thinking. It’s erroneous. True, there are portions of evolutionary theory that stand in stark contrast to Biblical teaching, such as man’s evolving from apes and other lesser life forms. This idea does not align with what Genesis records in its opening chapters. Thus one has to make a choice in deciding to believe the word of God or in the erudition of man. However, there are other principles of evolution that complement the Christian faith and the truths found in Scripture. It is wrong to assert that Yaweh created all modern day animals, such as pet dogs and cats; there certainly is no Biblical evidence to support such and science disproves the idea soundly. What is there left, then, to conclude that the theory of evolution has some merit. Migratory patterns are real, as are the adaptations that take place within species which serve as a means of protection and in aiding in the species’ survival. Rather than dismiss sound science as antithetical to our faith, let us instead seek to be led by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit who has the power to help us sift through and sorting out fact from fiction.
