Cricket World Cup 2015 Schedule (Australia & New Zealand) The 2015 cricket world cup is one of the biggest cricketing tournaments. Australia and New Zealand will act as the hosts for this year’s tournament. The whole tournament includes a total of 14 teams. These 14 teams are namely Australia, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Scotland and Ireland. These 14 teams are divided into two different groups according to ranks. The two groups are known as Group A and Group B. the Group A for the world cup 2015 consists of England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Scotland. The second group that is group B consists of South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and United Arab Emirates. These points are necessary as it is this point that will take them to the top of the points table. After the end of group matches the top four teams in each group will qualify for the next round. The next round marks the start of the knockout stage in the tournament. First the 8 teams will play the quarter finals then the semi-finals and the top 2 team will compete in the finals.
