Crime update in 3 posts: this one will be House Burglaries, the second Burglaries from Other Premises and the final Car Crime! Christmas Eve-Today 7 House Burglaries 1: Longworth Road, Horwich A man knocked on the front door posing as a window cleaner. He told the elderly resident he had hurt his hand. As the lady went to get something to help him she returned to find him in the living room. After he left she noticed her purse had been stolen. 2: Siemens Street, Horwich Again a man pretending to be collecting window cleaning money claimed he had a sore hand and asked to run it under the tap in the house. After he had left the resident noticed her purse was missing. 3: Camellia Close, Heaton Offender/s have attempted to kick in the bottom panel of a front door but have been unsuccessful in getting in. 4: Delph Brook Way, Egerton Offender/s managed to get the patio doors off the track to get inside the house. Once inside the blinds and curtains were closed and a bar placed across the back of the front door. A selection of jewellery was stolen from inside. 5: Middlebrook Drive, Lostock A man broke into a house by kicking the back door in. Whilst inside he stole cash, cutlery, a watch and an iPad and used pillowcases from the house to bag them up. The resident returned home and caught him in the act and the offender assaulted him. Offender description: MALE 57 TALL STOCKY BUILD WEARING A BLACK BALACLAVA AND BLACK CLOTHING SPOKE WITH A LOCAL BOLTON ACCENT. 6: Perendale Rise, Sharples Offender/s tried to remove the beading from a window to get inside but failed. The outer window pane was smashed and a small hole put in the inner pane but the offender/s didn’t get inside. 7: Castle Street, Haulgh The front door was left unlocked and offender/s have entered and taken the keys off the hook inside the flat.
