Cross post! Does anyone have experience with the drug Amantadine? Please share. I dont know if Im more fascinated that it abolished Anorexia Nervosa symptoms in this study or if its just the peripheral autonomic nervous system in general. Im such a geek... We have demonstrated that anorexia nervosa is underpinned by overwhelming adrenal sympathetic activity which abolishes the neural sympathetic branch of the peripheral autonomic nervous system. We found the amantadine abolished symptoms of anorexia nervosa from the first oral dose onwards. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21445279
