Curiosities on our trip: Amazing thunderstorm second night in a row. My diet today was coffee, pasta, gelato, rice, bread, wine, grappa, cookies.........thatsa all they eat here! The trains and buses are great but in driving a car you take your life in your hands as passionately gesticulating and cursing italians drive literally inches from you three cars to a lane plus motorcycles in between........it took us several hours to get to and from our place just close to home several times.....very confusing! But Kerry Craig was amazingly patient! It is normale for men to wear bright colored pants and all the naturally beautiful women of all ages riding bikes and even motorcycles in sylettos..... very stylish!! Ashley Carper you would love it here!! Everything is so politically incorrect here, few people wear helmets, semi nudity on the beach,people smoke everywhere and when something doesnt work as in the bathtub doesnt drain the landlord just says I know!People stare at you shamelessly but rarely do people smile The phones and the navigation provided by the rental car dont work and the streets and highways are poorly labeled Forget trying to get ice, or water for free and coffee comes in the tiniest little cups! No Starbucks but McDonalds is also a bar! The mosquitoes are just the same only there are no screens on the windows, no fans, no air conditioning......at least at the place were staying. Gorgeous old buildings made to last everywhere!
