Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh met President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on 17th May and submitted his resignation of his Council of Ministers. He has been India’s Prime Minister for last 10 years during UPA-I and UPA-II. President Pranab Mukherjee dissolved the 15th Lok Sabha with immediate effect today, completing a formality before the constitution of the new House. 2. Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling won the assembly election in Sikkim held recently and he is set for a consecutive fifth term. With this he will beat the record set by Jyoti Basu in West Bengal.
