What a wonderful musical weekend folks! Only getting a chance to sit down now.Culture night at The Casino Marino was just amazing and was such a thrill to perform for everyone who packed out each performance from 5.30pm.Anyone who attended will aggree we all shared a unique connection with the music and it was just so so wonderful to see so many new faces enjoy the Classical Guitar here in Dublin.Huge thanks to all who attended and to all at the Casino who worked so hard over the last few weeks to present their offering to Culture Night,a lot of hard work folks and a lot of passion,thanks guys for making this event a huge success; Yesterday i was so looking forward to taking part for the first time in The Clonakilty International Guitar Festival and boy was it special! A Festival run by a few passionate guys all voluntary and with everyone in the community working together to make their annual event a joy for both the public and performer alike.The town Rocked last night folks and delighted my performance in the legendary Shanleys Bar went down so well with everyone who attended.Thanks to all who came,and to all at Shanleys who made me feel so welcome in their house and great venue:) The reason such Guitar Festivals like Clonakilty International Guitar Festival and The City of Derry Guitar Festival for example are so popular is because they are not starch collared or stuffy nosed, from virtuoso’s to noodlers, all are welcomed and exalted! Its no surprise they are both in the top 10 of World Guitar Events. It is a celebration of the Guitar not the Player! and the emphasis is on the public who attend and to entertain them,talk to them and share your knowledge with them.The most enjoyable part for me yesterday was having a few relaxed pints with several who attended my show in Shanleys afterwards,people from all over the globe,fantastic stuff altogether! Happy man today!
