A government spokesman, Alfredo Scoccimarro, said the results from scans she had on Friday had been satisfactory. 8.> Voting began in the Maldives’ latest attempt to elect a president Saturday, as a constitutional deadline approached. The first round of presidential elections was held in the island nation on September 7, and was due to be followed by a runoff when none of the candidates won at least 50 per cent. 9.> Chinas annual consumer inflation climbed to an eight-month high of 3.2% in October, driven by food prices, data showed on Saturday, adding to market worries about policy tightening as the worlds second-largest economy stabilises. 10.> Indias Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) is one of the most tracked satellites in the World, according to N2YO, which provides web-based realtime satellite mapping tools. According to the website, MOM, which was launched on November 5 by India, was the fourth most tracked sattelite globally. 11.> US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said Friday that the US regulators face a continuing challenge of making financial crises far less likely and far less costly. He talked about the similarities between the 2008 financial crisis and the 1907 financial panic, and said both crises had a identifiable trigger that spread uncertainty and the provision of liquidity in the early stages was crucial, but only the first step.
