Currently there seems to be a Day for any and everything, many of which one may consider commercially driven. However, today is not one of those days where you will find that perfect card at Target to celebrate the occasion. Today is National Childrens Grief Awareness Day. One out of 20 children will lose a parent to death before they graduate high school. One. Of Twenty. That could have been one of your classmates. Or it could have been you. You cannot imagine the lifetime impact on an individual, on their family, on society. We in Central PA have an amazing organization to try to help support the children and their families. The Caring Place. Please support them, spread the awareness, refer someone there. You never know who may need their help or who may have been in this situation, as they look just like you and me.
