Customer Service Corner, Thursday, January 16, 2014 Energize Me: Each of us hold and emanate energy. The brain has billions of neurons that receive, analyze and store information about what’s going on in and around us. We’re constantly processing information in our brains: conscious and subconscious thoughts, moods, and emotions. We have been blessed with the gift of feeling energy from other sources while we also deal with our own energy. What kind of energy are you emitting today? Perhaps you’re sick, or have been recently, and thus, you are moving more slowly than usual and it’s a challenge to project positive energy. Maybe you’re emotionally drained due to grief or other circumstances and you would have to dig deep to produce positive energy. God knows and understands where each of us are regarding our energy levels and whether we’re positive or negative and the reasons why. It’s so easy to look around and be discouraged. I have told audiences before that you don’t even have to try to have a negative attitude. It seems to come more naturally than a positive attitude because people get so locked in to seeing what is wrong in their lives, whether it’s work, personal relationships, what happens during the day, or behavioral issues (both their own and others’). The most important choice I can make every morning is to choose a positive attitude. I want to celebrate what is right and wonderful about my life and the people in my life. Positive energy brightens, renovates, inspires, engages, heals and often surprises others because it seems to be a rare commodity in our world. If you want to attract positive energy, you first need to possess it and be willing to share it with others. Resolve each day to energize your own spirit with a positive approach. My suggestions are a familiar theme. If it’s positive energy you truly desire: 1) Pray/meditate to start your day 2) Read/listen to uplifting material (spiritual sources, motivational writings, music, whatever media you choose) 3) Maximize opportunities to help others (smile at everyone you see, talk to them and speak words of encouragement to them) 4) In a word – CELEBRATE! “Be a giver and not just a taker of positive energy.” Make it a Tremendous Thursday!!!
