Customs attend workshop on understanding ships chartwork and logs On Friday 28th November 2014, Customs held a training workshop on understanding cruising ships chartwork and ships logs. Officers from Customs, BioSecurity & Immigration were invited to attend the course aimed at increasing their understanding of factors affecting variances in cruising vessel travel. An interactive and informative workshop was given by Eric & Anne Simmons, long time Vanuatu cruisers & VSA volunteers assisting the VTO in developing a website and cruising guide to encourage more cruising yachts to Vanuatu. Charts & tools were kindly donated by Kaleva Yachting Services. The workshop follows the implementation of the new Standard Operating Procedures put in place by the Vanuatu Customs in its continuing effort to protect Vanuatu borders and provide a quality service to all stakeholders.
